Who We Are

Bull Valley Farm is a 76 acre family farm located in the scenic village of Bull Valley in northern Illinois. We purchased the farm from the Clark family after farming the cropland for the Clarks for many years. The Clarks were the original owners of the land, settling and establishing their farm here in the 1850s. Our family has been farming full-time in McHenry County since the late 1840s, and we hope to continue the family legacy into the future. Selling value-added products directly to consumers will allow us to grow our farming operation in order to bring the younger generation on board.

We love to talk about our crops and livestock, and since demand for local, wholesome, fresh food continues to increase, along with the desire to get to know those growing and raising food, we hope to be able to share our passion and also support other local farmers through our new retail store.

Our Mission

To provide high quality farm products direct to the consumer while supporting other local and regional farmers and small businesses. To grow our family farm in order to bring the younger generation aboard and continue our agricultural legacy into the future, while respecting our land and animals and being the best stewards possible. Our goal is to be constantly improving, to be able to pass the farm along to the next generation in better shape than when it was left in our care.

What We Do

We have individual cuts of high-quality beef, pork, and poultry raised by our family and two other local family farms available in our new retail store. We also have other products available like eggs, ice cream, yogurt, meat sticks, popcorn, nuts, sauces, jam and jelly. All products that we don't produce ourselves are sourced as locally as possible, with an emphasis on supporting Illinois farmers.
